Casablanca to Marrakech 13 Days Desert Tours

On the second day of our Casablanca Morocco tours, you will be met by our local guide after breakfast who will show you around the beautiful red city. We will be discovering the Red City of Marrakech. The pearl of the south. We will devote the whole morning to visiting to the Koutoubia mosque, the Saadian tombs, the garden of the Menara and Bahia Palace. Then we will get back to the hotel for a local lunch meal. In the afternoon, we will visit the souks, the Medina and spend the evening in the lively Jemaa El Fna square to enjoy the traditional folkloric shows and the different activities. We will savor a tasty traditional Tanjia dish for dinner in Jamaa El Fnaa before heading back to the riad/hotel for a goodnight’s sleep.

On the fifth day of our Casablanca desert tours 13 days, after getting your breakfast, we will set off from Essaouira heading to Hollywood of Morocco, Ouerzazate, which has become a major attraction for movie makers from all over the world with its biggest studios in Africa “Atlas Studios” where the making of several great movies took place like Gladiator, Kingdom of heaven, Babel… and many tv shows like Game of Thrones. On the way we will pass again by Marrakech and by the most famous and the most beautiful Kasbah in Morocco, Kasbah Ait BenHaddou which is a Unesco-protected red mudbrick Ksar that seems to be frozen in time, still resembling its days in the 11th century as an Almoravid caravanserai. You’ll get dinner and spend the fifth night of your Casablanca Morocco Tours in Ouerzazate.

We will continue Casablanca desert tours 13 days from Ouerzazate heading to Merzouga and the sand dunes of Erg Chebbi passing through the gorgeous Dades Gorge and Dades Valley on a a beautiful road that passes by green palmeraies and Berber villages. Our road also passes by Toudgha Gorge, where the orange limestones are separated by a 300m-deep fault creating a captivating sight. On the eighth day of our Casablanca desert tours 13 days, we will take the road from Merzouga to Fes passing through the Middle Atlas Mountains. The road passes through many Berber cities like Midelt, famous for its mineral richness and delicious apples, Azrou, which is famous for its fine wood taken from the surrounding cedar forests that are inhabited by the playful Barbary Macaque monkeys. Azrou was once the capital of the Berber communities of the Middle Atlas. From Azrou, we will carry on our journey passing by Ifrane, “The Switzerland of Morocco”, well-known for its cold weather throughout the year and its European-styled buildings before arriving in the imperial city of Fes. Dinner and overnight in your traditional Riad in Fes.

On the tenth day of our Casablanca desert tours 13 days, we will visit the gorgeous town of Chefchaouen where you will witness the beauty of a newly born city which was only established in 1471 as a fortress, from where it grew vastly to become home for over 40000 locals. You will explore one of the most fascinating features of the blue city which is the blue paint of the walls and buildings of the Medina which has brought Chefchaouen its fame. You will discover the magic of Chefchaouen and the secret behind its charm and great reputation when we visit its gorgeous old Medina which is located on a hill and lined with shops of traditional clothes, herbs and handicrafts. On the top of the hill, there’s a famous water source called “Rass El Ma” from where you can see most of the city underneath and you can enjoy the view of the stream as well. Before reaching the top you’ll pass by “Uta El Hammam” square which is surrounded by cafes and restaurants and where the famous Kasbah is located. After the visit, we will return to Fes where you will have dinner and spend the tenth night of your journey in your riad.

On the twelfth day of our Casablanca Morocco Tours, after enjoying your breakfast, we will visit the capital of Morocco in which we will explore the vital monuments of this city like the Hassan II Tower, the king’s palace, the Oudaya Kasbah and the beautiful Medina which was built on an orderly grid in the 17th century. From Rabat, we will head to Casablanca where you will visit the most important monuments of the city like the coastal corniche, the Habous Market & Quarter and most importantly the gorgeous Hassan II mosque that will blow you away with its ancient architecture and beautiful decorations. From Casablanca, we will head back to Marrakech. Dinner and overnight in a hotel in Marrakech.
